This is more than an Airbnb, it's a HOME — feeling like part of the family is exactly what you should expect from this stay. I'm very happy and grateful to have stayed with Alejandro and his family. From the very first contact they spare no effort to make you feel comfortable; I found the room spotless, as well as every corner of the house. Alejandro and Janet were my first source of information for finding places to eat, services and things to do. The stay was so enjoyable that I stayed one extra night. Don't hesitate to stay here, you won't regret it. A big hug to the family.

In their own words
The stay in the heart of Uruguay, in Tacuarembó, ended just as it began: Alejandro picked us up at the bus terminal and drove us back after four nights' stay. A particularly beautiful experience was the trip with Alejandro and Janet to "Valle Edén" and the visit to the Carlos Gardel museum. Matthias and Sabrina, their two adult children, are as charming as their parents. We felt like guests visiting friends. Thanks to the exceptional hospitality and the calm of these people, we'll always have a fond memory of Tacuarembó.
This is the best family in the world! Very welcoming, helpful and kind. They even took me on a little drive during Alejandro's work break, out into the nature around Tacuarembó. Yanet also made several phone calls and went out of her way to help me find a spot in the nature reserve between Tacuarembó and Rivera. The house is a small bungalow in a well-kept garden. It's very clean and they gave me everything I could need and more. Yanet and Alejandro don't speak English, but they'll do their best to understand you, and their daughter Sabrina speaks very good English. Thank you, wonderful family!
We were delighted with our stay at this house in Tacuarembó. It's a family home, very pretty and comfortable, with an excellent location right at the front. The mattresses are new and very comfortable — you rest wonderfully well. The kitchen is fully equipped and fantastic, ideal for anyone who enjoys cooking. The shower is also excellent, with good pressure and temperature. But what really stands out is the hosts' hospitality: attentive, kind and always ready to help. Definitely a place we'd come back to. Highly recommended!
We spent 3 nights here for the Patria Gaucha festival, and the location is perfect for it (a short, well-lit walk from the entrance). There's safe, covered parking, a welcome extra. The place is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and the beds were fresh and comfortable. The hosts replied very quickly whenever we had questions; for example, Alejandro got us some kitchen utensils on the spot and gave us local tips for day trips. He and his wife Yanet made it a lovely experience with their warm welcome. When we come back to Tacuarembó, we'd definitely stay there again.
It was a very pleasant surprise to find a place of this quality in my hometown. I've stayed at most of the hotels in Tacuarembó, and I can assure you this place far surpasses them in quality and warmth. You can tell the dedication and care put into every detail. Not to mention the kindness and attentiveness of the hosts — they're excellent. It was a very good experience. Highly recommended.
Alejandro and his wife took wonderful care of us. They waited for us at the door and were available the whole time, the place was spotless and had everything we needed. They even took care of ordering delivery for our dinner. We were just passing through on our way back to Argentina and I would definitely come back. A hug and thanks for everything.
I spent wonderful days with Alejandro and his family during Patria Gaucha 2018. The house is lovely, the prettiest on the street, and it's just a few blocks from the festival entrance. Everyone is very kind and welcoming, and we ended up going out together for several days, which I loved because I was traveling alone and it felt like they adopted me. I highly recommend it!
